After our guide was happy with our performance, we started to paddle, but shortly thereafter there were, as you can see from the pictures, the very first challenges.
After about 4 km there is a slightly larger waterfall and a very strong current. For safety, one must not take, but must follow a small road about 200 meters until you can back into the boats. Our business partner provides one of the few operators an alternative path that leads through a cave – the so-called extreme Route.Meine friends and I have naturally opted for this extreme route, which leads not only through a cave, but before that by a small lake with only 8-10 degrees of cold water. Man, that was cold , but somehow we still managed. I can only recommend this tour, it was an experience.

Last Saturday I was with some friends to go rafting on Cetina. Although I’ve done this several times, I am always in this type of action! …
In Omis, near the mouth of the Cetina river , there are now several providers of rafting trips. This Saturday we went with our new partner with whom we work. So I was very anxious to see if he would deliver the promised performance.

Tours from Trogir
From Trogir we can recommend you the following day trips:
Fish Picnic: During the season you can book trips on the Riva with excursion boats.
Drive to Split: Take the ferry, which sails in the morning to Split. In Split you should look at the old town, with Diocletian’s Palace – You can find more recommendations on things to consider during a visit to Split could still interested.
Krka National Park: Take the motorway can be reached in about an hour, this National Park. Here is a guide for the Krka waterfalls .
A drive along the coast: Take a car and drive along the coastal road with stops in cities such as Marina and especially Primosten, where you can eat as lunch. Then travel to Sibenik and see where the old town with its narrow medieval streets and beautiful squares and the St. James’ Cathedral, the UNESCO world cultural heritage belongs.
Accommodation:
As already mentioned, there are about 20,000 beds in Trogir, but before you book, you should note the following:
The number of houses on the old island is limited and they are usually very expensive. On the mainland part of Trogir you can find accommodation along the main road, then there are the small and pretty town of Seget, which lies only a few kilometers away from Trogir and also offers accommodation.
Arrival and departure to Trogir:
By car: When you reach Trogir on the A1 motorway to arrive, take the exit in Prgomet , then it is about 15 km from Trogir. Alternatively, (from north) you can take the highway exit Šibenik and then continue along the coast road to Trogir, which takes about an hour.
From Split , the trip by car takes about 25-30 minutes in the season often depends on the traffic.
By plane: The airport in Split Kastel Stafilic only 5.5 km from the center of Trogir. The drive to Trogir by taxi costs about 80-100 kuna. You can also take bus 37, which departs approximately every 20-30 minutes on the road outside the airport (cost 20 kuna).
By bus: From Split, it is best with a fast line of buses to arrive, the bus station in Split (Autobusni kolodvor opposite the ferry terminal) leave. Of 5 clock in the morning until midnight every hour drive there 1-3 buses to Trogir, the ride takes about 30 minutes.
The local bus line 37, the exit next to the fruit and vegetable market, they should not assume (unless you have a lot of time) as they stop en route at countless stops. On the plan (see below) you can see where the bus station is located in Trogir.
Towards Primosten / Šibenik drive also several buses from the bus terminal from Trogir.
Beaches in Trogir:
The most popular beach in Trogir is the Okrug-beach on the island of Ciovo , which is accessible from the center of Trogir by car from either (5 miles) or a shuttle boat that runs between Trogir and Okrug Gornji. The boat departs every half hour during peak season (price about 10 kuna).
Another beach is pebbly and sandy beach Pantan which lies just a few kilometers from Trogir to Split. The easiest way to get there is the bus number 37 – get off at the second stop after the exit from Trogir, then there are only a few hundred meters to the beach.
The Medena beach is another popular alternative. He is 4 to 5 km from Trogir in the direction of Primosten. You can reach him by bus from Trogir to Medena. Medena is a larger resort with hotels and apartments. Most of the guests who spend their holidays here keep themselves on the beach of Medena, which offers a wide range of sporting activities including water slides and spaces for football and volleyball.
Last but not least, there are of course small “private” beaches around the island of Ciovo , although you get this almost exclusively by car. By bus you can travel to Slatine and a few other places on the island of Ciovo.
Parking in Trogir
Trogir has three pay parking lots. Two of them are on the mainland and is located on the right side when you cross the bridge from the mainland. There are a few more parking on the side facing the city of Ciovo.
The parking fees are between 5 and 15 Kuna per hour, the closer to the old town, the more expensive it gets. I’ve marked the three 3 parking spaces on the map below, and would recommend the parking lot No. 2 (8 kn / hour). From here you reach a wooden bridge on foot on the island, alternatively, you can also take the “official” bridge.
Where to eat:
The restaurants in Trogir are concentrated along the waterfront (the blue line on the map below) and in the old alley 30 meters after school (she runs towards the bridge), there also are some restaurant-boats on the Ciovo side facing the city.
Although I’ve eaten in a variety of restaurants in Trogir, I can really recommend any. An exception is the restaurant with its beautiful ambience Capo.
Trogir Croatia | UNESCO Island – Vacation Trogir – 1
Of course, the old town of Trogir, the biggest attraction in itself , but you should not miss the following attractions:
The recently renovated St. Lawrence’s Cathedral from the 13th Century with its magnificent portal of master Radovan . The admission 20 kuna worth it and you can see both the cathedral and climb the tower. NOTE: The climb to the top of the tower is not for people afraid of heights.
The Kamerlengo (15th century). It is located in the north of the island and for a modest entrance fee of 15 kuna can take a walk on their walls. The ascent to the main tower is relatively steep, but I think most people are able to master it. In summer, the castle is also concerts and other events.
The fruit and vegetable market , located on the mainland side of the bridge. Here you can buy all kinds of fresh fruit and vegetables and olive oil and brandy (local liquor).
Trogir Croatia | UNESCO Island – Vacation Trogir
Trogir is today a popular tourist destination that has almost 20,000 beds. The tourism industry is enormously important for this region. Trogir was one of the first cities I’ve visited here in Croatia and it was banned, neon lights, posters, etc. to bring in the old town. The reason for this was that the atmosphere of the old town should be preserved. If you consider that the revenue from tourism more than 50% of urban household make this decision is very understandable.
The 20,000 beds in hotels and private accommodation make it possible for each guest here is a suitable accommodation for a holiday in Trogir place. However, I would like to mention that in July and August, most accommodations are pretty booked up. So make your reservation for this time better time for a room or apartment, then the choice is even greater.
